Okatakyi Amenfi VII pledges to continue investing in human resources of indigenes

Okatakyi Amenfi VII, Paramount Chief of the Asebu Kingdom, has pledged to invest in the indigenes of the land to develop its human resources to benefit the individual and Asebuman as a whole.

He made the remarks during the launch of his silver jubilee as the Paramount Chief of Asebu Traditional Area.

The celebration would be on the theme: “Celebrating 25 years of leadership and 1,000 years of Asebuman heritage, honouring the past, empowering the future”.

He said the traditional area would not relent on its oars but continue to provide scholarships and financial assistance to students who could not afford education to the highest level.

The move, he noted was expected to increase access to education and reduce the number of out-of-school children in the traditional area.

This commitment he said, was expected to have a profound impact on the community, shaping the future of the youth in driving growth and development of Asebuman.

Okatakyi Amenfi announced that, the doors of Asebuman were opened to investors with lands available for citing of industries, factories and making Asebu the industrial hub of the Central Region.

He was grateful to the Almighty God, citizens, sub-chiefs, and queen mothers for their support in his 25 years reign.

Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII, Chairperson for the occasion, acknowledged that Okatakyi Amenfi’s pledge to education was a significant milestone in the traditional area’s journey towards educational excellence that would have a lasting impact on the communities in the Area.
