Confee Ghana donates to 37 Military Hospital to mark International Women’s Day

 Confee Ghana dealers in electrical appliances has donated 10 air conditioners worth GHC 70,000 to the 37 Military Hospital in Accra

The air conditioners are to assist patients especially women in their recuperation as Ghana joins the world to mark International Women’s Day which falls on March 8, 2025.

Presenting items, Pearl Gborglah, Executive Director, Confee Ghana said the donation was for the maternity ward of the hospital saying mothers after delivery or surgeries need conducive environment and good temperatures for recuperation.

“On a day before International Women’s Day, we thought it wise to come around to provide the air conditioners to the hospital specifically to the maternity ward.

We believe that the recovery process for every mother is important. Mothers after delivery would need a conducive environment and good temperature in recovery,” the Executive Director said.

She added that the air conditioners were inverter ones that were energy-saving, with carbon prints that were safe for all.

The Executive Director said her organisation believed that the businesses should do more by supporting communities.

“In line with the International Women’s Day we thought it necessary to provide some sought of support to female wards in a hospital. We chose the 37 Military Hospital because it provided health needs not only to the Ghana Armed Forces, but the public when it comes to emergencies.

She urged women to pay attention of their heath needs since they are pillars in families and women also formed the majority in the informal sector.

She said Confee Ghana would freely install the air conditioners and ensure free services after installation.

Colonel Patience Owusu-Aidoo, Chief Nursing Officer, 37 Military Hospital, who received the air conditioners commended Confee Ghana for the gesture adding the air conditioners had come at the right time as they were going to solve some of the hospital’s challenges.

She appealed to other organisations to come to the aid of the hospital.
