The initiative aims to make insurance accessible to individuals in the informal sector, enabling them to proactively plan and protect themselves against various risks, including permanent disability, natural and accidental death, and critical illness.

The activation event at Okaishie Market was part of their efforts to educate and empower individuals in the informal sector, providing them with a reliable safety net for the future. The microinsurance product, ‘Mekakrawa’, aims to bridge the insurance gap, ensuring that individuals and their families are protected from unforeseen circumstances. The policy offers subscription options starting from GHS3.00, making it accessible to a wide range of Ghanaians.
