I’ve come to stay and promote the cause of Bofoakwa Tano – Frimpong Manso

Sunyani, July 18, GNA – Mr. Stephen Frimpong-Manso, the newly appointed coach of Sunyani-based newly promoted Ghana Premier League (GPL) side, Bofoakwa Tano Football Club (FC) has expressed his commitment to the club.

  

He acknowledged the importance of understanding the dynamics of football in Sunyani and the desires of both the team and the football community in the region 

Mr. Frimpong-Manso gave the indication when he engaged the media on Monday in Sunyani as part of activities by the management of the team to unveil him to the public. 

A former player of Kumasi Cornerstone FC, Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club and Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, Mr. Frimpong-Manso who has coached some Division Two, Division One and GPL teams has signed a two-year contract to manage the Bofoakwa Tano FC 

He emphasised the need for a well-prepared team to avoid relegation in its first season, saying that required the staunch support from management and supporters coupled with the availability of good facilities to improve the players’ performance. 

“As the coach, I am determined to do everything in my capacity to achieve the team’s goals”, he stated and added that without proper laid down procedures, it would be difficult to achieve targets. 

Mr. Frimpong-Manso insists on the gradual nature of building a competitive team capable of performing in all competitions and urged the media to educate fans about the team’s progress. 

Mr. Gilbert Amenano, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the team said there was the need for Bofoakwa to secure the services of a new coach who had experience and influence on the players to train and nature the young players to develop their talents better. 

He said the management of Bofoakwa Tano believe in Mr. Manso’s expertise and his ability to train and develop young players.
